How often do you shower or bathe?

| Reading the thread on low-sex marriages where one woman responded that her husband hadn't showered in 11 days, which is beyond disgusting, it got me thinking how often most people shower or bathe. For me, a male and DH, I shower most days 2x (morning and before bed) and sometimes a 3rd if during the mid-day I've worked. Meanwhile, my DW is more of any every other day type person. The downside to that is that since she will only have sex when she's clean, this reduces available days by 50%. In answering, please identify yourself as male or female. |

I am a Female and I shower every day. In the morning after I wake up. I just feel like I need to have a fresh start to every day plus it helps me wake up since I do not drink coffee.
If I have a date later on in the evening, I may wait to shower before my date or take another shower if I worked that day. I love love being clean and feeling fresh. I also love the body wash, lotion and spray that I use. I love how it makes me smell, I feel pretty and get lots of compliments that I smell "fresh" after using them. I know there was a debate a few months back when Naya Riveria from "The View" stated that taking a daily shower was a "white girl thing." That set off all the experts and the consensus amongst them was that daily showering was not needed. They cited that the body needs to let its natural oils come to the surface and blah, blah blah. I couldn't disagree more. ALL adults should shower every day. It's healthy, it makes you feel good inside and out plus you never will have to worry about offending another person with your body odor. Win win. |

| I shower when I wake up because it wakes me up for the day. I shower in the evening to wash my hair, and because I work out every day. Sometimes I substitute the morning shower for a nice long bath. |

Eh, showing to wake up is a nice way to start the day, and showing before bed to get off days grime and put on clean pajamas and slide into clean sheets, I don't shower twice a day but it sure sounds pleasant Showering after working out -- that's a must. |

Wow people are so judgmental (I know welcome to DCUM). I personally shower every other day if I'm doing low activity life. If I'm working out or heavy yard work, then it's up to 2x day.
The key is to let your own body tell you when it's time and balance that with consideration of the people around you. That means no offensive smells, which includes body odor and perfumes and other artificial, so-called fresh scents that can make people gag as much as BO. It's not socially ok to force your scent on anyone but most people are too polite to let you know. |

| I'm female, and I shower every day, at least once per day. I don't think I could ever skip a day. It'd be hard for me to marry someone who doesn't shower every day, so I feel a lot of sympathy for you, OP. |

Female - I shower once every evening. If I start working out in the morning that may change to an a.m. shower, but I like going to bed feeling clean, and I like the extra time to sleep in the morning knowing that I don't need time to shower. In the winter, if I haven't gotten sweaty on a particular day, I will occasionally skip a shower, but then I still wash "the essentials" (pits, crotch and tushie) with a washcloth or hand-held shower head.
My husband showers every morning, and again at night if he's worked out during the day. |

| DH here: once in the morning and again before bed. I can't sleep well unless I'm clean. My wife is pretty much the same, but she can get away with one a day because she always smells pretty. |

| Female. Typically twice a day. Sometimes only once a pay. If I'm really lazy I msy skip a day but this only happens maybe once every 2 months or so. |

| About once a week. Sometimes once in two weeks. My last shower was Wednesday and I'll shower tomorrow, Sunday, bc I'm meeting ppl for brunch. |
