how much would you pay for a really good paint job for 1600 sq feet?

What is a fair price for painting the interior of a 1600 square foot house? What price would you not go beyond? The job would involve a little prep work, door frames, and some trim along the floor. Bathrooms are already done. Rooms include a small kitchen, a medium sized dining room, a large living room, three small bedrooms and a small tv room. And two short hallways in between. Thanks so much for any words of experience out there.

I would say about $2500-$3000 but not including ceilings.

Thanks, guys! Who are your go-to painters?

NP. Prices don't include paint, right?

We had a 3 bedroom rambler we own repainted last year - ceilings, walls, doors, windows, trim. Used Benjamin Moore Regal. Cost about $5000 (paint included) which I thought was kind of high, especially since the rest of the bid was very reasonable.

We had our 3 bed colonial (1600 sq ft, ceilings, walls and baseboards) and our outside shutters painted for 5k.

I recently got a quote for just a little less that that sq. ft. for about $4800. Inc., ceilings, trim, walls, doors, stair banister, and paint.

You want to clarify whether you are including paint or not when you are getting quotes. And the quality and level of paint makes a big difference in price. Make sure you are comparing apples to apples.

5-6k, with good prep work and BM paints.

We recently paid 3K for about 1,500 sq ft, plus paint was an additional 800 or so.
