Due to an auto-immune condition, I have developed sensitive spots on my gums, so much so that even the over the counter "extra soft" toothbrushes are too abrasive.
and forget about electric, those wreak havoc on me. Google search brought up the following, has anyone tried these? http://www.nimbusdental.com http://www.drugstore.com/dr-collins-perio-toothbrush-super-soft/qxp192037 http://www.gumbrand.com/gum-technique-sensitive-care-toothbrush-1.html TIA! |
| I use a Reach toothbrush. I replace it every two months. |
| I'd try a child's toothbrush. They have small heads, but are very soft. |
|
This toothbrush, after soaking in hot water for 5 minutes, is incredibly soft, and also effective.

actually never thought of that! makes sense, thanks! |
| I use a nimbus due to gum issues. It's very soft. |
this looks really interesting too! One would think that boar bristles would be tough and pointy. Ok so soak for a few minutes in hot water, I can do that. how long does the toothbrush last? do the natural fibers make them last longer? |
OP here - is the it same Nimbus in my original question? |
| My dentist gives me nimbus for my condition. Better than children's. |
| We just started getting ours through the "GoodMouth" monthly subscription thing. They are very soft-- softer than I've used before but I like them so far. |
The bristles are stiff, and after soaking in hot water, they become very very soft. The toothbrushes supposedly wear out faster than regular nylon bristles, but because I don't press hard, they don't seem to. |
NP. I was going to post about the Nimbus toothbrush but someone beat me to it. It is amazingly soft!! Definitely check it out. |
