| Someone commented in another post, "MoCo Schools do". The post was about an elementary schools lining up entire grade level classes (I.e., ALL third-grade classes in the entire school) on the blacktop, requiring silence before allowing children to play at recess. What schools in Montgomery county are doing this and does anyone have any insight as to why the silence and why recess time is being wasted with this procedure? |

Well, it looks to be there are not MoCo Schools doing this. Perhaps it IS something that should be ruled out as a practice. It definitely does not make sense!! |

| In my DCs' schools, they do require the kids in the lunch room to be quiet before going out for recess. |

| I could see settling everyone when coming in for recess to have quiet halls etc but not on the way out. WHich school is that? |
