Cheapie vs FRER

Anonymous
I am getting a very, very light line on Internet cheap tests (wondfo?), but got a no on a digital FRER this morning. Have been spotting brown but no period. I don't know how late I am as this was an off cycle -- had been doing IUIs but took a month off. Do you think the internet cheap sticks are more sensitive than the frer?

I had better luck with the cheapies. They showed a line 2 days before FRER.

Cheapies showed a line 3 days before a digital FRER for me with this pregnancy. They are very sensitive.

I'm surprised by the responses, because I always assumed the cheapies were less sensitive. Good to know!

The digitial has a minimum threshold for HCG before it will show "pregnant." The cheapies are just detecting an HCG. So if you get a light positive, there is HCG in your system just not enough for the digital to display positive. Has nothing to do with sensitivity. The best test to use for earliest sign is the non-digital FRER. I'd pick that one up!

I Second the non-digital FRER. It's the best choice.

^ non-digital FRERs.

Sorry for not being clear. The internet cheapies I used showed a line 2 days before the non-digital FRERs. For two pregnancies.

I used the Wonfros, too and started getting a second line 6dp5dt. The FRER picked up around 7 or 8 dpt5dt. Love the wonfros.

One thing to note is that with the FRER I could just pee on the stick as I urinated and got good results. With the Wonfro I had to capture the urine in a plastic cup and dip for my results to show. The absorbency of the Wonfro sponge (or whatever pulls in the urine into the test strip) isn't as good as the FRER.

Any update OP?

OP here. It has been several days and the line never got any darker and I think even got lighter, so I am calling it as a possible chemical. This has happened many times in the 2.5 years that we have been trying. Thinking about trying an immunologist next.
