How much dressing to use when quadrupling salad recipe?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm making a salad for a potluck and the recipe for the salad and dressing yields four servings. I plan to quadruple the salad to make 16 servings so does that mean I should also quadruple the salad dressing as well, or would that be too much? How much dressing would you make if you were quadrupling a salad recipe? Thank you!!

I would quadruple the whole recipe as it assumes a set amount if dressing per serving. That being said, I always find for my tastes, most recipes make way to much dressing.

Agree. OP, I'd bring the dressing separately and apply it at the time so it's not too soggy. I like to put dressing in the bottom of the bowl then dump the salad on top. Bring tongs to toss and serve.
