for eating in the restaurant or take out.
any options other than meiwah? |
Meiwah! |
Oops haha sorry. That's the best option I have found. |
None. Meiwah blows. |
City Lights? |
Unfortunately Mei Wah is the best I've found. If you're willing to drive a bit I think the China Pavilion in the Sangamore shopping center is half way decent. |
sichuan pavillion on 18th and K is where all my chinese colleagues go. Chiaolin's on 19th and I has a Chinese language menu with some more authentic items and is good too. |
ugh, we went to Meiwah and thought it wasn't good at all. I lived in China 6 years though, so I have high expectations.

Shanghai village in bethesda is worth the drive |
I don't think it is as good as it used to be 10+ years ago. |
Chen's gourmet in the palisades for takeout. |
Dumplings and More in Glover Park is excellent. It used to be called Shanghai Teahouse. A small place with a local clientele, but everyone in GP knows it's good. It's the only Chinese place we get delivery. |
Satay Club in Tenley. Pan Asian, but they have pretty good (American) Chinese dishes. |
Sichuan Pavilion on K Street.
Great Wall in Logan Circle. |
This is where we go, don't think it's that good but definitely better than Meiwah. SV had great hot sour soup for a while and the last several times we have ordered it, it has just seemed off. |
