Holy cow on the outcome of the study.
Basically kids with peanut allergies are exposed most at home and least at schools which allow peanuts. Eye opening for all of us! http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/04/150428082211.htm |

Wow. My own home is peanut- and treenut-free, as our philosophy is that we want our home to be the one place our son doesn't have to always think about his food. I thought many food allergy parents did similarly, but perhaps not.
Adolescence/young adulthood is supposed to be the most fatal time as those kids often forget their epi pens and take risks. |
| Interesting. We also have a peanut free home. DH kissed DS on the forehead after having a snickers bar 3 hours prior and DS got a hive. A good reminder how scary this stuff can be. |
