When someone bumps a thread what does that mean?????

| I was reading a thread and someone replied with BUMP, what does that mean? New to site please provide some insight. |

| it means they needed a reply to the thread to push it to the top again for people to easily see. rather than reposting the thread, they bumped it up hoping for a/more answers. |
