Holy Trinity

Looking for any feedback on Holy Trinity? How is the academic program (k-8), technology and STEM, activities, and outplacement to high schools? Any info would be great.

I am not sure but a friend of mine has her kids there and really like it. It seems the kids do well as far as placement to high school and i think they will give you their matriculation data if you ask them. The only thing i think people shy away from the school maybe due to the contract which states once you sign you are liable for full payment. Other than that i hear good reviews for that school.

We are a current Holy Trinity family. Our son is in the Pre-K program and we are happy with his progress. He is thriving, happy, in a very nurturing environment. I truly believe if your looking for a solid traditional education for your child its a great place. The class sizes are small and there is strong involvement from parents. I have no experience with the upper grades but outplacement seems good and the parents I know with kids in older grades seemed to be pleased.

As far as the contract issue they actually give you a decent amount of time to withdraw. We signed early march and had until late april to withdraw without penalty. After April you are responsible for 50% and I am not sure when it becomes you are responsible for the whole amount.

Thanks. This is good information to know. I got a good feeling when I went to the open house.

I have no direct experience, but I have a friend whose son is there and loves it. Seems like a very happy environment with strong academics.

Is it difficult to get a spot for pre-k?

Seems pretty difficult - and I think kindergarten even more so (unless they open another class?), but I may be wrong.

The key is to apply early. I think there are always more parents applying for kindergarten than pre-k. There are two pre-k classes, so you should be fine.

I have a daughter in 3rd grade at HT. She absolutely loves it. We were impressed with their outplacement. We are likely considering a DC private for high school and from our research, HT students are well regarded and do well in competitive academic environments.

PP here. Most private school worth attending will require a contract. Remember that your child is competing with soemtimes 10-20 other children for a single seat inthe classroom. Schools need to know whether you are committed because if not they can offer the seat to someone else before they commit to another school. It's a business for sure.
