We'd like to add wainscoting in our dining room Below the chair rail. Is this a project That most people do themselves or hire out? We have miter saw. The room already has a chair rail. So it would just be adding the squares or quarter round, filling in/saning the nail holes and painting it all white.
Have you done this project? How hard was it? We also have a handyman we can ask to do it, but DH wants to do it himself (though it will take forever for him to finish it). Thoughts? |
I did it on a small room. Takes forever to do it well (as a first timer) but it's not hard. Devil is in the details and small mistakes leave big imperfections. |
Have you looked at the frames that are slready built? I know that Lowes carries them. I've considered purchasing. |
