Please recommend paint colors for Kitchen

Anonymous
I am planning to paint the kitchen and it gets some light and has white cabinets (white counter tops). Please recommend light colors that go well with these cabinets. The cabinets will be replaced so should be really white.

Sage or sand?

what else do you have in the room or adjoining space(s)? what type of flooring? hardware? do you want something warmish or coolish?

white on white leaves a lot of options

I originally went with a bold eggplant. Black granite countertops and brushed nickle appliances. Recently, I redid the walls in Swiss Coffee by Duron, which is a lovely white---bright but also warm. It is so much better. The cabinets are white, like yours, so the Swiss Coffee just expands the space. It's more crisp than before, while losing none of the warmth I wanted. The floor is slate, which I think adds as well.

I was surprised by how emotional it was, getting the kitchen painted. For us, it really is the heart of the home.

Good luck finding what works for you. Don't be afraid to leap in now and re-paint if needed.

Thanks for the suggestions. The flooring is ceramic tile (light rose) and all stainsteel applicances. The kitchen goes to a breakfast area (small table) but all one room that area is all white now also.

maybe something with very subtle pink undertones then? like the alamode?

sw reticence
sw heavenly white
sw minute mauve

farrow & ball: satin slipper or blackened or elephant's breath or cornforth white

some of the paint websites have online viewers so you can try out different colors in a "room". might be helpful.

get some swatches on foam board and try them out on different walls at different times of the day to see how they look with your materials and lighting.
