| I am trying to make an internet purchase from an overseas vendor (Taiwan) but my bank keeps refusing to process the transaction. Is there any type of prepaid card or other system to do this, other than going to the bank and getting a wire transfer? I looked into getting a Visa prepaid credit card but they only seem to work in the US. This is a vendor I have bought from before so I trust them, but I can't get the bank to cooperate. |

Banks block foreign transaction to prevent fraud. Call you card issuer and tell them to expect a charge from Taiwan over the next x number of days. It should go through.
You should do the same thing when you travel (that is tell your card issuer where you will be and for how long). |
