I've been a teacher for 14 years. I have a bachelors and masters in education and a post masters in administration and leadership. I'd like to do a career change into something new.
I'm not interested in going back to school, so it would need to be a career change that didn't require a specific degree. I'm not interested in doing sales in education, etc. There is no particular area that I'm interested in, as I have many interests. I love reading, and researching if that helps! TIA! |

Paralegal (can involve lots of research and writing)
Corporate human resources coordinator/manager (Would utilize your teacher-honed skills in assessing needs and work styles, motivating and counseling individuals, etc.) Corporate manager/coordinator of work/life initiatives (May utilize your teacher-honed ability to administer programs and assess and address the needs of individuals to keep social systems running well, as well as your understanding of family dynamics) Private school admissions officer (You would be well-qualified to counsel prospective students on why your school is a good fit) Nonprofit fundraising (Teachers sell ideas and foster enthusiasm all day long. So do fundraisers. Many nonprofit development jobs involve researching grant opportunities, writing pitches, planning donor events, helping prospective donors understand why support for a particular organization is a good fit for the donor's values or long-term plans/stategy). Pharmaceutical sales (Requires an ability to engage individuals while absorbing and conveying technical information efficiently.). |
| Paralegal here. You're overqualified to be a paralegal. |
| This is a timely post for me because I wanted to know if anyone knows a good free online career aptitude test. I just did the MAPP one but its not entirely free because all it gives you is a sentence or two about your profiles but blocks out the potential career choices unless you fork over $89.95. |
