anyone watching American Idol?

Am I the only one who can't stand Adam? He seems like such a freak and I really don't think he's quite as good a singer as the judges think he is. Call me crazy....

watching it now. I like Adam because he is crazy. I LOVED the Egyptian twist he did on that Johnny Cash song...it was like Prince, Queen, Led Zep and Hakim all rolled into one. It appealed to the bellydancer in me...haha! I think it's between him and the 16-yr old rocker chic.

I think Adam is gross, and tonight's performance was maybe the worst I've ever seen at this point of an Idol competition. Awful, awful, terrible, hideous.

I also thought Megan singing Patsy was nearly as bad. I don't understand why the judges liked it. She was twitchy and nervous and it was a weird version.

Anoop was bad last week, but I loved him this week.

Kris was great tonight, too.

OP here. Okay, so I'm glad to not be the only one who thinks Adam is a freak! I do love Led Zeppelin, Prince, etc., but he's too contrived to pull it off in a cool way...my take on it.

I do love the guy who looks like Justin Timberlake.

Can't wait to see who gets the boot tonight!

I agree wholeheartedly!! I've been skeptical of him up until now, but I LOVED his take on Ring of Fire! Original, interesting and downright sexy. And some of those notes? Wow!

I'd love to see the guy who sang, "Aint Going Down 'Till the Sun Comes Up" go home tonight. Seems like a nice guy, but he's out of his league.

My husband wasn't into it, but I dug it. I think, generally speaking, the talent is of a lower caliber this year than it has been in the past. Nobody has really wowed me so far. But I guess they get better as they go on and are coached and so on.
