Dysfunctional work environment

My morale is at an all time low. I'm tired of dealing with the following:

-Managers/leadership are rarely around - between them they show up around 20-30 hours every week tops.
-Managers rarely know what is going on and make it clear they don't want to know or be involved. Unless something goes wrong - then they should have been more involved.
-Constant cycling between periods of calm and then chaos when something goes wrong, for which employees are blamed despite lack of established protocol and training. In response, employees suggest establishing protocol but need input from managers, and managers show disinterest and push off working on the issue. Rinse and repeat.
-No annual performance reviews for the past 3+ years because managers couldn't be bothered to do them.
-Managers never provided any training for employees. Everybody has learned as they go.
-Management shows no interest in employee input, never asks for it or listens to it, though they rarely know what is happening daily.
-Management spends more time involved in "leadership" and other social/entrepreneurial events and running around chasing various accolades than actually being involved with the business.

I know the answer is to leave. I will be gone as soon as humanly possible. I needed to vent because each day I feel like I'm watching a car crash in slow motion.

Focus on your job search and celebrate each pay day. The only good thing I can say about my job is that I HAVE a job. That fact is helping me get interviews.

That sounds like my company (minus the training thing, training was a focus area for us this year. Not training on anything useful like the systems we developed in house and use every day, mind you, more like low level Excel training for low level employees who basically never use Excel ...) We had a leadership change in the fall and it's been awful because it created a power vacuum of people ridiculously jockeying for position as our new leader splits his time between offices. I'm focusing on finding a new job as well.

Sounds like you need to become a manager here.
