"If you don't want to sit in between people PAY FOR YOUR OWN GD SEAT. I don't understand why you think you are entitled to a premium seat you didn't pay for when other people did. Taking weight entirely out of the equation, if they aren't in your seat then you have no say in the matter. If you want an edge, pay for an edge like the rest of us did."
A la 10:45. You know exactly what is meant here. That says it all. |
Or not so much, they would be in First Class if that was true! First class clearly would not have them. Ain't nothing "classy" about "leaving the middle row 'open' so they can commandeer it". Klassy, yes. |
+1 She definitely won that one by missing out on sitting there. I think some PPs take it to heart, but maybe they should be looking in the mirror. |
PP here. Top PP here stuck their foot in their mouth with that one. |
Agreed. Why make it worse by buying only two seats when you clearly necessitate three or more? |
I am that PP and I seriously have no idea what you guys are talking about. I meant edge like...literal edge. the edges/ends of the row. I did not mean some metaphorical life edge, what kind of life edge could one get by sitting in an aisle seat? |
This thread is so disturbing. The replies are comical at best. If this is how ppl act in coach thank goodness I will only fly first class or won’t go. |
For all those saying that everyone should pay a premium for aisle/window seats to rule out the possibility you might have to sit in the middle - you do realize there are a limited number of such seats on a plane, right? |
So book early or choose a different flight! This is all obvious when you're booking. |
Or maybe she gives up sex twice a day. |

This thread makes me feel like I live on an entirely different planet. I can't remember the last time I was on a flight with empty seats - usually they're begging people to check carry-ons because it's full. So switching seats would be impossible. I also feel like 90% of the flights I've taken in the past 5-10 years have been Southwest. They always seem to have the most availability and are the cheapest. And Southwest doesn't do assigned seats. So all this discussion of "buy an aisle" or "ask the FA kindly to switch" is completely irrelevant to most flights I've been on. |
