After receiving multiple inquiries from players who had to miss a tryout session, we have added one more session for the rising 9U Boys on Thursday, May 24th from 5:15pm–6:30pm at Long Bridge Park #4. We have room to add 6-10 players to this age group. Players need to be born in 2010.
Players who missed the previous sessions and those who attended the previous sessions and were not selected, are all welcome and encouraged to attend.
If you were registered for tryouts already there is no need to register. If you were not registered, please register in advance. Here is the link to the Travel Page of our website. Take a look at the information about our program.
Please register for tryouts before attending the session (it's free!) We hope to see you on the field!

Arlington rec players don’t fall for the bait. Arlington is only looking to line their pockets. Your kid will end up on the silver team with horrible development for the price. Arlington is so desperate it’s embarassing

You mean Gold. Thee are 6 teams, correct?

Not PP. Correct, Gold is the F team. On another thread it explains that there is always a need to fill six teams under the business model. On the girls side, everyone that shows gets to play on a travel team, or at least 99% that show.

If you had less then 6 teams, then there is not enough revenue to justify all the layers of coaching. i don't think they are trying to hide this fact though.

The above comment about girls teams in Arlington might be correct for certain years, but is definitely not the case across the board. Certain years seem to be much more competitive than others. Many girls born in 2007, for example, would beg to differ with the assertion that everyone who shows up gets a spot on an Arlington travel team.

Which teams map to which league in Arlington. Is Gold ODSL?

Isn't it?

Red and White > CCL
Blue and Black > NCSL
Silver and Gold > ODSL

Let's say I had this wild dream hitting the website/social media of every area club with some level soccer above house (... without listing specific leagues at the moment). Let's start with Ffx/Alex/Falls Ch/Arl on the VA side.

Area Teams/Associations:
Alexandria City, VA: Alexandria Soccer (FB | IG | TW | YT)
Alexandria-Ffx County, VA: Lee-Mount Vernon Sports Club (IG | YT )
Annandale, VA: Annandale United FC/Villareal Virginia (FB | IG | TW)
Arlington, VA: Arlington Soccer Association (TW)
Braddock Road-Fairfax, VA: Braddock Road Youth Club (TW)
Centreville, VA: Southwestern Youth Association (FB)
Chantilly, VA: CYA Soccer (Colors: Purple-Gold-Black | FB | IG | TW)
Fairfax City, VA: Fairfax Police Youth Club (Colors: Blue-?Gold?)
Falls Church/Annandale, VA: Olympiacos (Colors:Red-White)
Falls Church, VA: Premier Athletics Club (FB)
Great Falls, VA: Great Falls Soccer (FB | TW)
Lorton, VA: Gunston Soccer (FB | TW)
McLean, VA: McLean Youth Soccer (FB | TW)
Reston, VA: Reston Soccer (FB | IG | TW )
Vienna, VA: Vienna Youth Soccer (Colors: Red-Black-White-Silver | FB | TW)

...

{Outlier well beyond the Beltway, but I'll list it ... for now} Winchester, VA: Shenandoah FC Elite (TW)

I fully realize that the Great Falls/Reston merger is in progress (I assume). Reading some other threads here hint at something possibly happening with SYA/CYA.

Before venturing into Loudoun, PW, DC (thanks for the initial list in a previous post), and MD, what else am I missing? I claim little knowledge of clubs beyond FPYC and as a non-NoVA native, I find general info on other clubs somewhat interesting.

SYA and CYA are not merging, CYA leadership sent out a note a few weeks ago. They are neighboring clubs so the practice fields are jumbled together, CYA is really Rt 50 and around. SYA is just a bit west and uses fields near Fair Lakes, Chantilly (ECL off of 28 and 66), and their home field is in Centreville. Both clubs have posted their tryout schedules.

All of the data I've captured is represented here:

https://kumu.io/freemynook/competitive-youth-soccer

Everything is searchable, draggable, clickable, zoomable, hover-able, etc.

If you need the Achilles Logo, see this page

why not include the SAM Select league? I know it's a lower level league, but includes a lot of clubs.

FPYCparent wrote:I don't claim to know anything about SAM Select, but it appears to all be "within" the "Soccer Association of Montgomery." How many clubs **on the existing map** have teams that play in SAM Select? (For what it is worth, you'll also notice that I don't have the Suburban Friendship League.)

Some logos simply don't render with the kumu.io software. I updated the Achilles logo to the one from the s-shop page and it appears to show just fine for now.

Discussion on the map itself is here:

As PP points out, lots of teams. You can see them here as you click into te schedule. https://samsoccer.org/schedules/sam-select-schedule
