This is getting fun.

Oh please let this bring Kavanaugh down too. Please.

So it seems almost obvious that Trump ordered hits on Epstein and Guiffre, right? Ghislaine Maxwell should maybe be worried

Trump is clearly hiding something bigly. He's getting desperate and pressuring Rs hard to vote against releasing the files.

Makes you really wonder.. what exactly is he hiding? Hm...?

So this whole thread can be boiled down to: democrats released an email with the redacted name Virginia Giufre, who had already testified years ago that Donald Trump did nothing wrong.

Brilliant, donkeys.

Willful ignorance is not a good look

That isn't what she testified to.
Also, Trump ran on releasing these files. Remember the supposed pedophile ring being run out of the nonexistent basement of Comet Pizza?

If that's your personal coping strategy, run with it. To the rest of the country and world, Trump is a clear pedo.

Maybe I’m mistaken, but my understanding is that there is more than one girl, now women, wrapped up in this. Or do you take a whack-a-mole approach to justice?

We know that Epstein thought he had enough damaging info on Trump to bring him down. Then, when Trump is a sitting president, Epstein dies in federal prison under sketchy circumstances.

Are there any “unsolved” murders that occurred on 5th Ave.? Someone should look into that.

Tim Burchett asked for unanimous consent, and Democrats blocked it.
Was this a Trojan horse in the unanimous consent rules?

They didn't. His spin to the media is a lie, of course. You can watch what really happened on CSPAN. His request could not be entertianed because the Republican Speaker Pro Tempore said Burchett had not followed the rules and because he did not have the consent of Republican Mike Johnson, who is on record opposing Burchett's attempt.

My guess is that he tried this because it would have allowed the no votes to hide.

Those who are going to vote NO to release must be on the record individually voting no to the release when they do the vote by normal procedures next week. Burkett tried to end run that and let the no voters try save face (which may mean he is actually a no vote himself).

And no one should be able to hide thier vote on this. The people have a right to know whether a congress person is complicit in tis coverup.

+1 Burchett is pissing on your leg and telling you it’s raining. He filed a House Resolution (H.Res.577) to release the Epstein files which would have required unanimous consent. He was trying to spare Republicans from having to record their vote on the House Bill under a discharge petition.
Jeffries objected.

The vote is coming, because of the discharge petition. Burchett tried to do an end run around the process with unanimous consent to try and give Republicans cover by not having individual recorded votes.
I thought the point was to release the files?

more distractions, you'd think they would have been this focused on the files when they had all 3 branches of office for 4 years. the public doesn't buy it but it will end up being worse as nothing new will be shown

We do not know whose name was redacted.

Republicans have stated that it was a victim who has stated that Mr. Trump did nothing inappropriate. This helps Mr. Trump if, in fact, that was the name which was redacted.

A real concern regarding the Epstein files is whether or not it contains allegations and details of money laundering for Russia. This concern was raised recently by a prominent Democrat strategist on a major cable news network a couple of days ago.

I think Trump really wouldn’t care if people knew he molested teenage girls. His public comments are of someone who DGAF. I am actually wondering if there are financial crimes in the case. He would care about looking poor or doing bad deals.
