There is modest growth but debt and deficits actually are even higher because of higher Interest on the debt. Inflation increases and interest rates will increase 14 basis points!

So to recap: this turd will add trillions to the debt, increase inflation, and make borrowing more expensive for everyone. Great work, Republicans!

Has any mention been made of the Byrd Rule? Or is it quaint to suppose that will have any bearing on anything?

Yes, they haven't even gotten that far but have generally signaled that they will (probably) abide (mostly) by it.

This bill is going to destroy our country, but Republicans don't seem to care. I guess staying in office for one more election is more important.

They've convinced themselves that as long as the donor checks from the billionaires the are enriching continue to flow, they will be fine. Even if everyone in their district ends up hungry and homeless with festering wounds and no healthcare.

Yes. The government should be doing everything in its power to increase energy production. The idea that republicans want to kill these projects is completely stupid without any benefit.

"rather than letting people keep their health care."

I'm all for you keeping your health care if you want to pay for it yourself. Don't ask me to chip in. Knock out all the subsidies and programs to transfer income from one group to another. Get radical about it.

You don’t understand the concept of health insurance, do you?

Largest increase in debt ceiling ever. Republicans playing their usual game of raise it for a Republican admin, who’s going to add trillions the debt as usual. And then fight democrats like hell for cuts if a dem wins in 2028.

But transferred income directly to hospitals who lobby republicans like Susan Collins is cool.

Everything about this bill screws red districts. Republicans members of Congress are serving their constituents on a silver platter at the alter of the billionaire class. But police officers will have no tax on overtime so they can help keep the peace.

Just you wait. Those red states will be getting cash payments. This bill is going to increase the debt to 10 trillion.
