It’s possible he still has stretches of lucidity. It’s not as if that screed is particularly nuanced or sophisticated; it’s just a lot more words in a row than he’s done for a while. |
It is true that this is not lucid prose—but the punctuation also isn’t as erroneous as I would expect. It is erroneous! But not AS erroneous. |
True. To be perfectly straight with you, I don’t actually read his tweets closely. I find that absent a compelling reason to read it closely it’s just painful for no reason. |
It's been reported that when he was in the WH he dictated his missives to assistants, who then post them on social media. He famously does not type. So he likely has someone transcribing these messages and they post on his behalf to Truth Social. Perhaps he has a new person who is more familiar with the rules of punctuation? But someone else is proofreading and then posting for him. But Trump himself determines the content of the message. |
Back when he was president one of the times he got manic on Twitter, I loosely timed the posts and he only stopped posting for three hours one night. I can’t recall the particular date, but I doubt he had a staff member at 3 a.m. I think yesterday’s mania exceeds that record but I haven’t checked. I have no idea whether he’s still going at it. I bet he got a new target letter. |
I agree (though I think someone does help him type out most of his tweets). |
I think that must be among the world's worst jobs |
This person he got only knows commas. TOO BAD! |
But they know how to hit the caps lock key! |
|
But without the adoring crowds he won’t get out on the campaign trail. I have to imagine even his most ardent admirers are tired of his incessant and incomprehensible whining by now. His shtick depended on more energy and quick wittedness than he can muster at this point. |
