I am thrilled for you. I am so sad for the person who is buying Jets tickets so they can sit in the same stadium as Taylor Swift, who will spend the game in a corporate suite and not out with the hoi poloi. Do people realize that there are celebrities at a huge number of NFL games every single week. Celebs also like football, and can get tickets easily. I've been to NFL games that super famous people also attended -- never ran into one. I have rubbed elbows with famous people at baseball games though -- it's more fun to watch a baseball game from down closer to the field than in a corporate box, so I think famous and rich people are more likely to do that. |
I am a 30-39 year old millennial and find Taylor extremely immature and cringey. I don’t know anyone in my circles that acts like they’re still in high school— not to the extent that Taylor does. I am not at all jealous or envious of her, I value my privacy more than an extra zero or two in my net worth. |
Alternatively, some of us find Taylor's taste in men extremely questionable and it feels like a real waste of an opportunity. I have zero interesting in Travis Kelce, who I don't find that attractive and whose interest in Taylor looks like a parasocial obsession (falling for someone based on their public persona is weird) and a little opportunistic (he definitely wants a career in entertainment post-football and this is a very good way to help make that happen). Most of her exes are also pretty terrible. Joe Jonas? John Mayer? Gyllenhall? Matt Healy? I would not date any of these guys and I'm not remotely surprised any of those relationships ended poorly. She dates TERRIBLE men and then writes breakup songs about what jerks they were and around the time she hit 30 I was like "Taylor, fix your picker." Though I also think this relationship is maybe fake, so. Anyway, not jealous, I think she squanders her youth and her wealth and her looks on dudes who are not worth her time and am beginning to think that as other posters have said, she is just very immature and doesn't really understand what healthy relationships are supposed to look like. |
Congratulations on being an expert man picker. |
She dated John Mayer, Joe Jonas, and Jake Gyllenhaal all before she was 22 years old. Who are you dating when you were that age? Her latest relationship lasted for six years. |
This sounds like something straight out of the hallways of a high school. |
OP is an idiot who doesn’t know anything about football. |
Not anyone as old as Mayer and Gyllenhall were then. Ew. |
Dating terrible celebrity men then writing songs about them has made her a billionaire. That’s not happenstance and this is more of the same. Homegirl knows exactly what she’s doing. It will be interesting to see how much longer it works for her as she approaches her mid-30s; at some point it starts feeling a little pathetic. |
Who has six year relationship in their 30 without a ring? Someone that doesn’t want one. People need to stop trying to marry her off or give her babies (a la Aniston). Not everyone wants kids and it’s fine. |
Tom Hiddleston |
Exactly. She has horrible judgement. Her last relationship lasted 6 years? And then they broke up and she immediately rebounded with a sketchy "bad boy" and is now having the least discrete fling ever with a guy who is definitely using her to boost his profile. Those of you who think this is all somehow enviable are either blinded by your fandom or also have terrible judgement. I don't care if she gets married or has kids. I just think she has awful taste in men and her relationships look dysfunctional and unhealthy. It's not aspirational or jealousy inducing. |
You’ve truly lost the plot. To compare Taylor Swift, who is on track to become a billionaire in part from performing originals shows that go on 3 to 4 hours where she’s on the entire time singing songs that she wrote… With some 33-year-old stay at home mom who depends on her husband’s salary to pay for her Instagram followers so she can pretend to be relevant for 5 minutes… Yeah, sorry not tracking. |
I'd date him just to have his mom as my MIL. |

I mean I think she’d be the first to admit she has bad taste in men and makes a lot of terrible choices. See: “Anti-hero”
The new guy seems fine though. They’re both having fun. |
