Cheap basement wall finishes?

| On a budget. Is there a "modern day" wall finish we can use that will look ok? (Thinking today's equivalent of paneling?). Extra credit for photos/links! |

Wall tiles. You can make virtually any texture you want.

| Don't. Just drywall. And the ceiling. Anything else looks like ass. |

| Just make sure it's not wet down there. Any small amount of moisture is a disaster waiting to happen since you won't be able to see water on the wall. Just a tip from someone who learned this the hard way, and now inspects basements a tad more carefully. Don't just cover with drywall to look nice - know what's there. |
