the agony of waiting

Currently miserable in my job. I'm *supposed* to be receiving an offer for a job I am very interested in soon, but it's taking some time. In the meantime, every day is an exercise in biting my tongue rather than ragequitting, because I can't be without a job for an indefinite period of time. (trying to close on a house, banks frown on being unemployed.) So frustrated.

And, of course, when I finally do quit I will likely be nice and polite and not tell them all the ways in which they are awful.

I have the offer! still negotiating leave accrual rate, and I can't start until June, but there is light at the end of the tunnel, and it doesn't seem to be a train.

Blood pressure was normal for the first time in a month this AM.
