I'm interested in trying out pilates. I'm hoping to get recommendations on a great class that is metro accessible in dc (not md/va- too far) and has classes starting at 630pm or later during the week.
My hope is to find a class that meets that criteria that is also friendly and open to beginners who are not in the absolute best shape! Thanks in advance for any recommendations. |
| Are you interested in Pilates mat classes (no machinery) or Reformer classes (using the machines)? Washington Sports Clubs has both, but the Reformer costs extra. I've been doing the Reformer for years and I highly recommend it. The teacher's name is Claudia, and I know they have some evening classes at certain locations. You can check the schedule on the Washington Sports Clubs website. |
| My close friend owns the Excel Movement Studios. It is one of the largest and oldest in the DC area. Their studio is located across from Catholic University and not far from the Brookland(red line) metro. Here is a link to their studios. I can say they are top notch. Good luck! http://www.excelpilates.com/index.htm |
