Moving to Downtown Silver Spring this month--Recommend a daycare or preschool for 4yo?

Anonymous
We appreciate any recommendations you have for preschools/daycares for a 4 yo. We are hoping to enroll her into care for the first week of May. I'm also open to recommendations for start date in the 2015-2016 school year.

We hope to stay in/near downtown Silver Spring--we are moving to 20910. Hoping for quality, affordable care. Big plus-es for programs that integrate American Sign Language or Spanish.

Many thanks in advance!

I hope your search is successful, but I would stay away from Silver Spring depending on your parenting style. See today's Washington Post.

The previous poster is referring to the "free range kids" situation. I feel terrible for this family and their kids and personally think CPS is way out of line. But it's not a reason not to live in Silver Spring! I'm finding Silver Spring a wonderful place to raise a child, overall.

I'm the PP who added the link. Forgot to say, we love MCCA Kensington/Forest Glen for our kid (currently in the 2's class). However, it might be a bit too far north for you--it's north of downtown Silver Spring, right near Holy Cross Hospital and the Forest Glen metro.
