Career coaching cost

I'm a SAHM, not by choice, for 1.5 years since we relocated here. Lots of applications, a few phone interviews, a couple of in-person interviews - nothing.
I'm not super specialized and I'm able to learn something new quickly, but I feel like I'm at a dead end and I'm not even being contacted for positions that are very close matches for my skills and experience.

I know there are are services out there to help women like me, but they cost $$$. This isn't something DH will want to pay for. He doesn't make a lot and we are struggling.
Any ideas?

Yes, Women's Center if VA or Montgomery County Commission on/for Women if MD. Also, you might call your college/univ career center and see if they help alumni. Many do and will do so remotely.

What is your field or types of positions you are applying for?

I'm in VA - applying for positions related to HR processes, benefits, specifically retirement plans.
Thanks PPs for a couple of good ideas.
