I'm a SAHM, not by choice, for 1.5 years since we relocated here. Lots of applications, a few phone interviews, a couple of in-person interviews - nothing.
I'm not super specialized and I'm able to learn something new quickly, but I feel like I'm at a dead end and I'm not even being contacted for positions that are very close matches for my skills and experience. I know there are are services out there to help women like me, but they cost $$$. This isn't something DH will want to pay for. He doesn't make a lot and we are struggling. Any ideas? |

Check out the Women's Center in Vienna VA- they offer a variety of free and low cost services.

| ... they also have a location in DC. |

Yes, Women's Center if VA or Montgomery County Commission on/for Women if MD. Also, you might call your college/univ career center and see if they help alumni. Many do and will do so remotely.
What is your field or types of positions you are applying for? |
I'm in VA - applying for positions related to HR processes, benefits, specifically retirement plans. Thanks PPs for a couple of good ideas. |
