Can't get daycare providers tax ID number

Trying to finalize my taxes and the lady we used for a few months has gone MIA. We've called and even stopped by her place and can't reach her. Anyone know how to get a tax ID in this circumstance? Otherwise, we're going to have to attach an addendum and it could take a lot longer.

Was she a licensed provider? Maybe the state inspector could help you out? Or, post on your local list serve to see if any other prior clients of hers have that information?

Have you called the irs and asked if you have alternatives? I've found them helpful every time I've called to ask about a specific situation, even on April 15th.

Have you tried googling the daycare name and "EIN"? Got my preschools that way.

OP here. I got here through the MD providers site so yes, she was licensed...unless I was fooled. I called the state and they wouldn't provide me with the number. They told me to call the IRS. I have put something on the listserv and was waiting to hear back. I will google the ein...I have not tried that yet. Any other thoughts would be helpful!
