PSA coupled with a bit of a rant

I love my MIL. I call her mom. We get along famously. However, there's a part of her that drives me crazy. I usually just roll my eyes and move on. But now that I have kids this "thing" about her is driving me crazy. Did I mention it's driving me crazy! ??

Now for the PSA: MIL's please don't forget that you are human. You are not some super powered, super charged being. You aren't perfect,.neither are your kids or your husband. You have been out and about and forgotten to pack a change of clothes for your toddler, you have run low or maybe completely out on diapers at least once, your fridge and pantry isn't always full, neither was your house always 100% clean when you had young children.

Our relationship can be tenuous if you aren't more careful. I want to be the perfect everything to your son, but you make it difficult for me to be myself when you "pretend" that you have never made mistakes.

Whew! Glad I got that off my chest.
