N Arlington Chinese takeout/delivery

Anonymous
We live not far from Lee Harrison shopping center and were regular patrons of Oriental Gourmet. I know it would be more sophisticated to be super excited about the Peter Chang restaurant, but they don't do takeout, and the main fans of Oriental Gourmet were my kids, ages 6 and 3. These kids LOVED takeout from OG and begged for it on every special occasion--birthdays, holidays, visits from grandparents.

We haven't found anywhere else great or even decent that delivers. Any suggestions for a new go-to Chinese takeout place for us???

There is a place at Williamsburg Circle that is decent.

Love Mrs. Chen' kitchen, but probably too far south for you

Fwiw, my kid loves Peter Changs (more than OG) and they have a kid's menu with regular stuff like lo mien and fried rice. I think they do some takeout now, too.
It seems a bit exotic, but maybe they will like Peter Chang's if you try it?

Peter Chang's is twice as expensive. Screw that.

OP again. When we were there a week or so ago, I was told no takeout. And we were in the range where we got delivery from OG which was what we usually did. Our kids are actually not fans of lo mein or fried rice...

I'm sure we'll give Peter Chang's a try at some point, but for now, I'm looking for the standard Chinese-American takeout that is decent.

OP, takeout and delivery set different. Which are you looking for?

We love delivery from Hunan #1 in Clarendon. Delish!

If you prefer to pick up, we also really like Tea, Noodles and Rice in Courthouse.

The one on Columbia Pike? Is it really good?

Personally, I would never feed my kids stuff like this.
