Carpet stains resurfacing

We had our rental carpets steam cleaned and it appeared that the stains were removed but we got our inspection report that said there were many stains that resurfaced. Is it worth a second cleaning or do we just go to replacing carpet? It's berber if it matters.

I think its quite difficult to get stains out of berber carpets - I could be wrong. They are expensive to replace aren't they?

I'm not clear if you own the rental or if you cleaned before a new tenant comes in?

I was renting. I will never rent a place with carpet again! I'm much more messy than I realize.
