Has anyone here had a family member deal with dry gangrene without cutting the limb?

Anonymous
Any words of advice? What to expect? There is no infection yet but due to age, medical directives, etc. this person is coming home for hospice care. Is there anyone out there who has dealt with this before?
Both the gangrene and hospice care experience would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi! You might want to repost in the "Health and medicine" subforum or the "Over 50" subforum. I'm sorry I don't have any direct experience with This condition (only with hospice)--however my husband is a pathologist and they do amputations for this a lot (he receives a couple a week).

I am really sorry for patient and family.
