| Does anyone have insight into High Bridge Elementary School? Is the great schools rating of 3, a true reflection of the quality of the school? |
| Highbridge does have an extensive special education program, for moderately disabled children. This apparently impacted their MSA scores in the past. I don't expect PARCC scores to be any higher. |

Anyone with a child there who is not special ed that has feedback?
I have seem some very nice homes in this are and Im shocked at how low the ratings are for High Bridge in comparison to the other elementary schools that also feed into Samuel Ogle. If the rating is skewed because of testing of special ed students, it would be good to know that. |
| Parental reviews are majority positive. The non special needs kids seem to do very well |
| We are zoned for High Bridge and plan to send our daughter there in the fall for kindergarten. We were accepted at a private school, but decided we would try our local school first. Several kids in our neighborhood attend High Bridge and the parents have been pleased. I visited the school earlier this year and met with the Assistant Principal. They said the test scores are skewed because all of the student scores (including special needs) are factored into the calculation. I was told that the other students perform right on par with the other Bowie elementary schools. |
OP here. Thanks so much for this feedback. |
| We are thinking of moving to the high bridge elementary school zone. Can anyone comment on how they are now? Are the low scores truly because of the special education program? |
