Did your child like it?
Our daughter is 3.5 yrs old and we have paid deposit for the summer but keep hearing negative things and are hoping for a more low-key alternative. a) Any feedback/experiences to share re: Beauvoir? b) Any suggestions of other camps... |
Don't know anything about Beauvoir, but if you do decide to look at alternatives, look at CASA at Sheridan. My DC had a great experience in their 3/4 year old program last summer. |
What negatives have you heard . . . DS has attended Beauvoir summer camp 2 summers. He had a great time. Activities aligned with weekly theme and swimming on site was a plus. Daily outings to the playground and other walking fieldtrips. No complaints here happy camper each day : ) Lunch can be a bit of an issue . . . Sandwiches everyday can get old but other than that no problems. HTH |
my son loved beauvoir camp last year--he was 3.5 and did 5 weeks there. no complaints, really. they kept them busy enough with lots of diverse activities and he had a lot of fun. we were actually hoping to find a less expensive alternative for this summer but he talked about it so much afterwards, into the fall and beyond, that we decided not to mess with success and enrolled him again this year. my experience with their administration is that they tended to be quite responsive and helpful, too, for what it's worth. |
OP here. THANKS so much for the feedback. I had heard from a few people that it was chaotic. I was just checking. Glad to hear that more people than not find it to be a nice camp...
thanks again |
Chaotic Beauvoir Summer Camp? No!!!!!!!! Very organized and managed well. Not sure about these families experiences : ( Our DC has been excited each summer : ) If you decide to apply this will give you and child an opportunity to see the school community and culture. Hope you will join us!! Beauvior School and Summer Camp Parent |
