Youngest WIS program?

Is the youngest program at WIS a 4 y.o. Pre-K program, or is there a pre-school for 3 year olds?

They have a 3 year old program, but they are combined with the pre-k.

There's a funky age cut-off. Something like June 1 for the 3 yr old program but Sept 1 for the 4s. So a summer birthday means you have to start a year later. Odd.

The preK program is for 3 and 4 year olds together. That said, they prefer older 3s, and they accept more 4 year olds than 3 year olds. When my child entered preK a few years back, there were only four 3 year olds in the class, the rest were 4 year olds, with many turning 5 soon after the school year began.

Do children who enter as 3 year olds spend two years in the 3/4 preK program, or do they move on to K the following year with their older classmates? Thanks in advance.

Children entering preK-3 spend 2 years in the preK 3/4 program. Many (could be most) preK-3 children leave at noon; most preK-4 children stay till 3:00.

Thanks so much! How many of the preK children, if any, stay for Extended Day Care (which I understand runs until 6:00)? Thanks again.

I've heard 2 different things. I called WIS, & I swear they told me that there was no full day for 3 year olds, nor aftercare. Then I heard from another source that there IS a full day for 3 year olds. Which is true?
