Next steps (immune testing)..failed fet + pcos

Anonymous
Hpt is stark white and I have asked my nurse to get a beta earlier so I can stop meds.

I am at bIg name out of state clinic and transferred a 5aa embryo into a liming that was an 11.

I have pcos and have gained weight fRom ivf -prob. 20 lbs.
My plan is to take a break until I have lost weight and don't feel like I have a broken bOdy that is not a healthy place for a baby because of my weight. But now I'm wondering before we transfer our remaining 5aa embryo if I should get immune testing done with Braverman in NY.

PS. We did IVF because of severe male
Factor not the pcos. I am 33
And yes I am on metformin and do acupuncture, infrequent meditation and yoga, workout 3x a week, no wheat or dairy

Have you ever gotten pregnant? What is your big name clinic recommending is the next step for you if the beta is negative.

I have had 2 successful pregnancies because of Dr. Braverman so I do think it's worth going to see him. He generally prefers that you cycle with him but at least get the testing and hear what he has to say. Then decide if you want to add anything to your protocol for your remaining embryo. The logistics of getting back and forth to NYC are a pain but in the end you may have insight you didn't have before.

OP here. Had a successful chemical pregnancy naturally but no no others.

I cannot cycle with anyone else because I have frozen embryos - albeit of all different qualities at big name out of state clinic. Do you think he could still 'work' with me?

Yes, you can just have him do that testing and then if you need treatment he can just manage that part. I had him manage my immune meds with my natural cycles to stay pregnant and that was no problem. I'm not sure if the pricing would end up being the same as with a natural cycle or not. It seems like things change somewhat rapidly in his office. Even from my first successful pregnancy to the second there was differences in pricing and logistics. Nothing we couldn't overcome, but sometimes it's hard to keep up.

If it's a big name out of state clinic chances are he's worked with them before.
