LAFAYETTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL--need current parent observations please!!!

We have a rising PK4 (that matched) and IB K and are new to the DCCC area. Lafayette is our neighborhood school. We are trying to make an informed decision to have kiddos attend Lafayette next year and I am really worried about giving it a shot for my Kindergartener and the school being a disaster.

ANY current infor/observations/opinions would be helpful. Good & Bad.

Personally, we have been at the school for 4 years and are much happier now that there is new leadership.

+1. Yes, search the archives. Tons of info. A hint: The school is the L in JKLM...

It definitely wont't be a disaster. The curriculum maybe isn't as innovative as I'd like and I'm really sorry there's no dedicated science time, but otherwise we're happy with the school. We love the community and going to school in the neighborhood.
