UVA for the outdoors & arts crowd

Anonymous
Any recent UVa grads have insight to UVa for those indifferent to frats and big parties. More inclined to the outdoors, theater crowd and intramural sports for fun? Do students of diverse backgrounds mix, or are there invisible lines that are difficult to cross?

Go to cu-boulder, vt-Burlington,or uwash (Seattle), or oregon

UVa is a big school and there is something there for everyone. It is in the mountains and there are certainly available outdoor activities (mountain biking, rock climbing, camping, kayaking, horseback riding). Skiing at Wintergreen gets old, though. Inter-mural sports are huge (the school has more fields and gyms than any other place I i have been to).

The theater and arts departments are somewhat isolated and does not seem to be a focus of the school.

Second the conformity. Also second JMU or Tech. Or VCU in Richmond.
