Michael Nash company

Has anyone worked with Michael Nash company for a kitchen, bathroom or addition? We are considering them for a home renovation and hoping to hear some honest reviews. The hand selected references always have great things to say, of course.

Not the most honest group of guys!! I would stay away I also found them to be very expensive.

No personal experience but I tend to be suspicious of multi/ million dollar ad campaigns and minimum budget thresholds for jobs.

This sounds like Michael and Sons!

Based on what I see in their ads and magazine features, I do not care for their style at all. All their designs look very cluttered and busy, with a hodgepodge of styles and features.

Angie's List can be helpful.

About 3-4 years ago, we used them for a guest bathroom remodel. It was expensive (13-14k, if I remember correctly). But they did a good job and finished on time, which was important to me (since I was 7 months pregnant).

These people are terrible. RUN AWAY and tell all your friends considering any type of renovation from bathroom to major kitchen or whole house remodel. They deliver way off schedule (many months, not weeks), take your money 6+ months before starting, fail inspections, have no design sense, require constant oversight, get everything wrong on the first attempt. RUN RUN RUN.

We have a friend that has used them and would not recommend them. She is still trying to get the reno finished and regrets her choice everyday.

Also someone with a friend that had a bad experience. A four month project extended into 2+ years.

Yes they are awful. Avoid and tell your friends.

Also had a friend with a bad experience. Delay upon delay upon delay -- ended up being about a year, maybe a little over. They did end up with a beautiful kitchen, but they basically had no kitchen for a year.

I'm looking to renovate my kitchen and came across this firm online. Their online reviews are pretty stellar so I checked here and it seems like maybe their reputation isn't as good as the reviews would indicate. Has anyone used them recently?

After flash flooding and power outage in DC on Monday, I had excellent, timely service from 2 M&S techs (one electrical, one plumbing) yesterday after calling for an appointment after hours Monday night. They fixed the problems; price was reasonable.

My neighbor is dealing with this nightmare company. So many delays, and iffy workmanship. What was supposed to be a 6-9 month job turned into 2 years and counting, with no end in sight.

Agree. If they have to advertise in this environment stay far far away. Same goes for Long Roofing.
