Schools in Alexandria

Hi,
We recently moved to DC and are seriously considering buying in Alexandria, ideally in Del Ray/Rosemont/Old Town, as they are close to the Metro. I'd appreciate any advice/information on the schools in Alexandria, particularly in those areas.
