Texas Transplants: what is the DC equivalent to Camp Mystic, Waldemar, Stewart, or Rio Vista?

I have heard that there are some camps in Black Mountain, NC. Is that this area's equivalent to Hunt, TX? Debating between finding a great month long sleep-away camp that is popular with families from this area or sending the kids to camp in TX where I had a great experience growing up. Any feedback on Camp High Rocks for boys?

You might want to post in the Camp forum. We looked at camps all over that area of NC and loved Falling Creek (all boys) the best. They have a one month option but you have to register in August for the following summer. They fill up quickly!

He started with the Junior Camp the summer after 2nd grade when he was 8. Then he went to the 2 week camp for a few years.
