yes, you get the sign up bonus points. it will become an American card after the ff programs merge later this year. But the clock is ticking -- I don't know when they stop accepting applications but my guess is soon.

Agree, yes. 50,000 miles for $89. Card will then get converted to an AA card.

Yes worth it if you can, approval is instanteous online. 17:05 is wrong though - it doesn't get converted to an AA card. It gets converted to a Barclaycard Red Aviator Card (Silver for a select few). The 50k miles, on the other hand, do get converted to AA miles.

I got an email saying they will begin moving US Airways dividend mile accounts over to AA Advantage this Saturday, 3/28. I have both and got an email from each airline.

I signed up for that, AND the AA business card for another 50,000 miles (no fee on that one for the first year).
