Inexpensive but not crappy patio furniture

We couldn't ship our old outdoor furniture when we moved and are now looking to outfit our backyard with new stuff. We are a family of four and our backyard is tiny but we tend to spend a lot of time outside anyway. We are definitely on a budget and will probably move again in two to three years so not sure if we will take outdoor furnitire with us.
Also do you all recommend we get a set with six chairs or four? Our backyard is tiny and we only have four people in our famil BUT we do entertain fairly often. DH suggested we get four chairs and then some extra folding chairs in order to save money but I do want it to look nice.

I would look at Costco. Their stuff is inexpensive, but holds up well.

Pier 1, World Market and believe it or not - Urban Outfitters. Grandin Road is more expensive but not super over the top.

Home Good has some, but it's hit or miss.

Big Lots - Gaithersburg

Target or home depot. Both have more choices online than in store. Crate an barrel outlet in old town used to have nice patio furniture each year but I think it's hit or miss now.

So are you considering a bigger table that seats six?
We got our set at Home Depot.

Walmart or Home Depot. You can get some very basic stuff now (plastic chairs/table) and then go back in August when the outdoor furniture is marked down. We got a small $300 patio set for $150 last summer.

Walmart has a set for 500 that gets good reviews. I think it goes down in price sometimes.

I think we are going with IKEA. The wood set can be re-stained and I have always had good luck reselling IKEA pieces when needed. Plus, I wanted to be able to sit on it in store to try out.

Lowes had some nice sets when I was there yesterday.
