ovulation strips

Anonymous
I've been ttc for about a year and was using the OPK sticks, but decided to double-check with the ovulation strips this month as well (the cheaper ones). I usually get a positive on day 14 or 15 meaning my LH surge happens on those days. I got the positive on day 15 this month on the OPK stick and the ovulation strip; however, I kept testing after the positive and the double lines and I'm getting some weird results. My OPK stick says negative, but the ovulation strips are pretty clearly double lines in the morning and negative at night for the past couple of days after day 15. Any thoughts?

What's the difference between opk and ovulation strips? I thought they were the same thing.

I usually trust the smiley face opks more but if the wondfo strips still say positive then keep bd'ing! Can't hurt.

OP here. Ok, thanks!

To the other poster -- the OPK sticks are digital and give you a happy face or zero. The strips are just strips with no digital reading -- just a paper strip that shows a control line and a second one if it is positive. I got my strips from target and they were not the wondfro strips.
