Opposite jeans question: bigger legs, smaller waist

and really tall.

I'm 5'10" and need to wear tall sizes. My calves and thighs are bigger than average--genetics plus years of running. I'm usually a size 8/29 long, and I like a straight fit. My problem is that virtually all jeans are too snug in the legs or too big in the waist. Any advice? I've had some luck with J Crew's Lookout High-rise but even they are a little big in the waist if I buy for the legs.

Try madewell's skinny skinny or boyfriend fit. They come in long. Have you ever tried Paige denim?

No--I'm pretty much all J Crew, gap, and Lucky. I actually just bought an OK pair from Target out of desperation. Skinny skinny sounds too skinny for me! Would it really fit someone with bigger legs?

I have the same problem and like the madewell straight jeans.

Same shape issue, except I'm petite. I have all my skirts and
pants taken in at the waist by a seamstress.

Sofia from Lucky. I have more luck with "curvy" pants.

Yeah, got nothin. I've resigned myself to either having the waist taken in or always wearing a belt.
