Appreciate all recommendations! I know I'm starting late in the game. Thanks!
Also, how many weeks do your kids typically attend camp. On the one had, it seems like mu kids get tired of camp and just want to stay home and play but on the other hand when they just stay home they seem bored and to get into mischief. Striking the right balance of leisurely summer and structured summer has been hard. Thoughts?

What do your children like to do?
Do you have a budget? What part of NW DC - Near Logan Circle? Brightwood? Pallisades? |
I'm trying sidwell summer camp this year for my 4 and 6 year olds. I've heard they do lots of art, outdoor, and water play. We are doing 4 weeks.
Sidwell is great. Head First also quite good. Good luck!
CASA at Sheridan is great with young kids.
zoo camp is amazing if you can get in
Lowell has a great summer camp. Swim everyday and 5 yo learned to swim in the first session last year. Lots of outdoor time, art, cooking, and more. Also have opportunity to do a little extra work in math or reading for certain grades if you choose. This summer they have a Spanish camp for which we signed up.
Thanks for all the replies. Can anyone share some insight into the NPS and Beauvoir summer programs? Totally different subject, but I have to say that I am so disappointed DCPS do not offer summer programs.
Or at least not the DCPS in our neighborhood.
Since we pay for private school it would be nice to get some educational benefit for free. Any way, just an aside, please keep the camp recommendations coming!
