| Hi can someone help me with any information on any Great camps in DC that are FREE or inexpensive for a four year old girl. I tried DC rec but I did not have the $$ to pay upfront. Does anyone have any other places or even schools to recommend? Thank you. |

Speaking as a single mom who has, at times, been on a very limited budget. I've sometimes had more luck with approaching the very expensive camps and asking about a scholarship.
If your income is quite low, you might also qualify for a subsidized place. School for Friends and St Alban's Child Care Center are two places that take subsidy and often have spaces for 4's in the summer because kids leave camp the summer before for Kindergarten. |
| If you belong to a church, they often have free summer bible camps. |
| I knew someone who sent his kids to the Boys and Girls club on I think 14th St near U St area for nearly free. Maybe $50 for 3 weeks or something very minimal. Not sure of the quality. |

Yes you should certainly qualify for scholarships. Both YMCA locations offer them.
Good luck dear. |
| DC Parks and Rec have reduced rates that are really reasonable. If you go to the parks and rec office you can sign up. |
| Thank you all very much |
| Another single mom here - thanks for the tips! |
