I love really bright and colorful rugs. Prefer contemporary, mod floral is OK but not traditional. What are your favorites to really liven up a living room?

I don't think this is something you can ask the internet because have such different tastes -- go to a site like rugsusa or overstock and browse. There are SO many options.

i like this one but i'd be so nervous to buy a rug over the internet without seeing it in person or more pictures of it in a room or "live" like you get at pottery barn or land of nod.
