Where in FL during spring break and we want to avoid drunk college students

Agree. One of mine is on last day of break now, the other was the week before. Colleges are mostly done in early-mid May so spring break is in early-mid March.

Daytona beach used to be a spring break Mecca. But now the hot pot has moved to Panama City. I went to Daynota beach with my two young kids in 2013 and didn't see any college spring breakers.

Yup. College spring break is pretty much done. Issue is moot.

Most colleges are done with spring break by Palm Sunday/Easter.

But you may still want to avoid Siesta Key - and go a little more north to the keys west of Bradenton. Same sand and water but definitely a family vacation spot.
