Murch X-day: governance?

Anonymous
Hello
My DD is at the Murch X-day program. Love the program, but have some concerns I've tried to bring to the attention of the director, and have been met with a defensive denial/rejection. I've discussed the issues with other parents who have had similar experiences with the director and am trying to figure out how the program is governed. Is it a public charity with an independent board? Does anyone have any experience taking issues to the parents board that is listed on the website? All advice welcome thanks.

I haven't had any reason to go further than the director. Do you know anybody the parents on the board? I am sure one of them can help you out.

What do people think of this program? Any negatives?

We are very happy with Capital Language if you are looking to make a switch.

My DD did x day for one year, language for one year, and begged to go back to x day (where she is still). Comparatively speaking, language was a lot of classroom time, worksheets, structure -- x day is more playground time, free play, art.

My kids love XDay. If I show up early to pick them up there is lots of protesting. They love the sewing and clay. Pop Up video club was a huge hit too.

We have had similar concerns with X-Day. Inadequate supervision is definitely an issue. Any resolution to the governance question?

Murch x-day has a parent board (I'm on it). You should email the members.
